Images of some of the activities we get up to at Nursery
It has been lovely to see how quickly our new children have been settling into nursery! There were many happy faces in the garden this week, particularly whilst the children were hunting for potatoes! They were very competitive in their hunt and found big and small ones, along with a few worms.
The children have had a very messy week! They have been exploring colour mixing and clay on the craft table.
The children in the 2 year old room have been exploring textures. We used spaghetti hoops and it was all very exciting for the children!
Huge thank you to all of the adults who joined us on our Autumn walks this week. We all had lots of fun and really appreciate your support.
Our Halloween walk and Halloween activites in the 2 year old room.
Grandad Andy (one of our Grandparents), had been kindly teaching the children to cook. We have made lots of different things including pizza’s where the children chose their own toppings then chicken nuggets and sweet potato fries.
We have been learning about the story of the Gingerbread Man this week. The children have made their own gingerbread men with Grandad Andy. Thank you Grandad Andy!
The Red and the Green groups have been enjoying their Forest school activities. This week, they made little hedgehogs and built homes to keep them safe. The week before we made delicious dairy pizzas and natural collages
The children have enjoyed a visit from Lip Lee when learning about Chinese New Year, we had a Chinese themed week of activities and even made spring rolls with Grandad Andy.
We have had a very busy week at Nursery. The children made delicious pancakes with Grandad Andy. Mrs Ward made ‘scent’ pictures with the children in the craft area. Then we also had a visit from Donna who works for ASDA. She brought fruit and vegetables for the children to taste and they planted cress seeds.
We have been exploring textures again in the 2 year old room. This week we had jelly and all the children had a feel and a smell of it and eventually had a little taste.
