Our School Day
Here is a breakdown of our school day:
School Session Times
- Morning Session – 8.45am to 11.45am
- Afternoon Session – 12.30pm to 3.30pm
- 30 Hours – 8:45am – 2:45pm – this can be extended to 3:30pm for an extra £3.50 per day.
Please arrive as near as possible to these times as the children go straight to their group room for registration. It is during this session that the teachers explain what is happening in nursery that day and also lots of discussion and teaching work takes place at this time. It is therefore very important that your child does not miss this.
In addition to the above free sessions, we have the facility for your child to access further sessions throughout each week at a rate of £15.00 per 3.75 hour session (including lunch club). This would give you the opportunity for full day provision. If you are interested in taking up the extra sessions, these need to be booked for a term at a time and must be paid a month in advance. We also offer a breakfast club with drop off times at 7.45 am for £2.50. The day can be extended after school until 5.30 pm for a cost of £5.00. Therefore, your child can be in Nursery from 7.45 am to 5.30 pm for a cost of £22.50 per day. Please visit our Extended Services section to view our Childcare Provision.
If your child is unable to attend nursery please phone to let a member of staff know. School phone number- 01388 814970
If anyone other than a parent is coming to collect your child, it is most important that you let the head of nursery or school secretary know who it will be and ensure that this person is known to the staff. Always bring your child right into nursery so that we know that they have arrived safely. In the interest of the children’s safety, parents are not permitted to bring cars into the drive. Please make sure that anyone who might collect your child by car, including taxis, is aware of this rule, which is solely for the protection of all the children.
Would you please note that all children remain the responsibility of parents, grandparents and carers until a member of staff has opened the nursery door and invited the children into the nursery area from the porch at the beginning of the session. Children should not be left unattended before the start of a session without the specific agreement of a member of staff. Nursery staff cannot accept responsibility for any children left with parents, grandparents or carers of other children before nursery begins. Children are collected from their group room at the end of a session. Once you have collected your child, you are then solely responsible for your child’s safety. Further information can be found in our Nursery Brochure.
