Ox Close – New Build and Amalgamation

2nd November 2020 By annabowden

Today, we have received further information from Durham County Council about the proposed new school build and amalgamation between Ox Close Primary School and Oxclose Nursery.
Information regarding this can be found here:
https://www.durham.gov.uk/article/24473/Consultation-on-proposal-to-merge-Ox-Close-Primary-School-and-Oxclose-Nursery-School
This proposal is provisionally planned to take place from April 2024 but is subject to the current consultation period, which is to be 6 weeks, and all appropriate planning.
The consultation period starts today and below is a copy of Durham County Council’s consultation document.
Ox Close Consultation
This document invites responses and includes details of how to respond if you would like to do so.  A copy of the consultation document will also appear in the news sections of the School and Nursery websites.
Even if this proposal is to become a reality, business will continue as normal at both the School and the Nursery until at least April 2024.

Bike Ride Round Europe- 14/5/15

25th February 2016 By Admin Linda

Today the children have cycled round Europe. They started in Sweden where Abba was playing whilst they waited their turn. They then rode past the Eiffel Tower in France, past the Angel of the North in England, past the Blue Mosque in Turkey, past the orange roofed castle of Tallinn in Estonia, past the Astronomical Clock in the Czech Republic, past the Fountain of Honey in Latvia, through the caves of Postojna in Slovenia, past the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania and finally through the finishing post.  The children did such a great job. Thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who came along to cheer on the children.
