Nursery Information

At Oxclose Nursery School we offer Full Day sessions for our 30 hour children and Morning or Afternoon sessions for our 15 hour children.

  • Morning Session – 8:45-11:45 am
  • Afternoon Session – 12:30-3.30 pm
  • Full Day Session – 9.10-3.10 pm

Extra Sessions

We offer our 30 hour children the extra session of 45 minutes (2:45-3:30) for the cost of £3.50. If you would like your child to stay for the last 45 minutes of the session please let Mrs Grundy know in the office.

A Childcare Contract for Extended Sessions between home and school will be put in place. This details the rules of the agreement. A copy of this contract can be found in our Downloadable Forms area of our website.

Breakfast Club

We offer our Breakfast Club service to children from the Nursery and our neighbouring Primary School.  The Breakfast Club runs from 7.45 am to 8.45 am and offers a number of healthy menus to choose from. These include cereal, toast, pancakes, yogurt and fruit juice.

The cost of the club is £2.50 per day. Mrs. Susan Dixon and Mrs. Allison Lewis run the club. If you would like your child to start using our Breakfast Club service, please call in to complete a contact form.

Lunch Club

Our Lunch Club bridges our morning and afternoon sessions and runs from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. The children have a story and sing some songs, eat their packed lunch (brought from home) or have a hot school meal and then have a play outdoors.  Mrs. Susan Dixon runs the club.

If you would like your child to have hot school meals you can get all the information from the office.

We have a fridge where food can be stored and we have a microwave to warm up food if required.  The children really enjoy staying for lunch. If your child is a ‘fussy eater’, staying to lunch club can help. Once sat with friends, children often follow their lead and eat their packed lunch. Susan encourages good table manners and lunch time is a wonderful social event for the children.

After School Club

We now offer after school care for children from the Nursery and neighbouring Primary School. This runs from 3.15 pm to 5.30pm (children from the Primary school will be collected by Miss. Wilson at 3.15 pm). The cost of the club is £7.00 per session and will include a snack and a drink for the children.   Please contact the nursery and let Mrs Grundy, our school secretary, know if you are interested in using this facility.

Mrs Wilson and Mrs. Lewis run  the after school club.

Provision for Two Year Olds

In September 2016, we started to offer childcare for two year olds, both funded places and paid sessions. The children can attend any sessions you choose. The morning session runs from 8.45am to 11.45am and the afternoon session runs from 12.30pm to 3.30 pm. If paying for the sessions, the charge is £15.00 per 3 hour session.

The two year olds have their own designated learning space which they access for the first hour of each session. The children then go out into our nursery garden with our three and four year old children.

Miss. Burton and Miss. Moody are the key workers.
