SEND Information Report
The Government has asked all Local Authorities in the UK to publish, in one place, information about the services and provision they expect to be available in their area for children and young people from 0 to 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND).
This is known as the Local Offer. Further information about the Local Offer can be found on the County Durham Families Information Service website.
Since government reforms in 2014, there are now 4 areas of need for SEND children. There are:
- Cognition and Learning
- Communication and Interaction
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health
- Sensory and/or physical
The SEN Information Report was reviewed and updated on May 9th 2019. It is updated annually with views of parents/carers taken into consideration. It is monitored, evaluated and ratified by our governing body, through our SEND governor.
At Oxclose Nursery School we recognise that all pupils are entitled to a quality of provision that will enable them to achieve their potential.
This SEN Information Report should be read alongside the school’s SEND Policy, the Equalities Information and Objectives and the Accessibility Plan, which can all be found in the Nursery Policies of our website.
